I pledge to recreate our first snow day!

In addition to the snow days, lower temperatures, and change of normal routine, I have had 3 children under the age of 3 sick at my house for more than a week (one being my nephew). Just in the last day or so I have felt my energy deminish with lack of sleep during the nights. I have also in turn noticed my patience and "sanity" start to take a nose-dive. Jason, my husband, is out of town this weekend so I will not see a break in the action.

I woke up today and decided that I am going to see this 10th day inside as the FIRST! As a former school teacher, I still get excited when you have a break in routine with a usually much needed snow day. I broke out the crafts and cookies. We visited with our cousins down the street and enjoyed time together without the rush of pick-ups and drop-offs and errands. We played in the snow and had hot cocoa by the fire. We all had a ball.

Today, I am going to find a renewal of energy, patience, and loving mom! Bring on the "tub-o-snow"! Thanks for the good reminders and ideas right when I needed them Donice. I will send you a picture of our fun day.
