17th Annual Mission Council Garage Sale

Each May since 1996, Mission Council has held a gigantic garage sale to raise money to support the various missions supported by our church. You really have to see it to believe it!  This huge undertaking requires a couple of hundred volunteers, lots of donations, and good old fashioned elbow grease. It is a week of fun and camaraderie for people of all ages!

 

There multiple ways for the whole church family (really all those that love a good garage sale and have a heart for mission) to participate:

1. During the year, volunteer to serve on "pick-up teams" retrieving donated furniture and various large items from people's homes and then taking them to our storage facility.

2. The entire week prior to our sale, we converge on the North Campus working from morning until night setting up, sorting, pricing, and organizing the donations we have collected during the year in addition to those that pour in during that week.  Come spend as little or as much time as you can!

3. During the sale (Friday and Saturday), we need customer assistants, food sellers, cashiers, straighteners, lifters, movers, clean up crew, and, of course, shoppers!

This event is a whole lot of work but a whole lot more fun! With everyone pitching in, the sale comes together and, to date, we have raised approximately $400,000!
